If you’re looking for something extra special, something with a little more luxury than your standard Queensberry album then this Duo album is your perfect match. It arrived last week and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! It’s covered in a beautiful blueberry leather which feels and smells divine. The size is great too, measuring a massive 12″x30″ when open! For my final sample of the year I chose to go with a “Duo” album, it’s basically a mix of traditional mounted images along with contemporary edge to edge prints. Queensberry did it again, and oh boy they did it well, here’s a sneak peak.

Just received my gorgeous new Queensberry Press Book! It’s wonderful, a great alternative to a large album with lush watercolour style pages and a cover photo. The pictures were taken at Victoria & James’ wedding which took place at Rothley Court last year. As well as having a copy myself another press book will be on display at Rothely Court. Special Needs Photography

Meet Lily my 8 year old sister who has Downs Syndrome. She’s beautiful, isn’t she? I can’t help but smile when I look at this picture.

Of course having a gorgeous little sister like Lily means my camera is out most of the time, and believe me, it has to be! Like any child with special needs, generally it takes more patience and lots of enthusiasm to get the best possible photo. But when you do get the photo that captures the most massive smile or the biggest laugh, it’s definitely worth it! That’s why I love photographing children with special needs so much. Having a sister with special needs often means parents are more comfortable knowing that I have knowledge of how to deal with children and adults alike. So if you’re a parent, wanting a photo session but worrying about how the photographer will deal with your child, worrying about expensive equipment in the studio, worrying that your child will get upset, then rest assured because I’m here and would love to have you guys for a photo session. All my sessions take place on location, so if your child’s anything like Lily they’ll love to go for a walk in the woods, or a bike ride in the park. And if your child’s less able I can even come to your home. To me, it doesn’t matter where we are, just so long as you and your child are comfortable. I also have no strict time restraints as I understand sometimes it can take longer to get the best out of children with special needs. Victoria & James’ wedding happened back at the end of October. It was a beautiful day at Rothley Court Hotel, the sun was shining and for October it was surprisingly warm! The day started with the bridal preparations right at the top of Rothley Court Hotel and when i say right at the top I mean right at the top! Shifting a bride and all her wedding gear plus family and grandma is never going to be easy. But we got there and after a lot of joking around the nerves and excitement started to kick in, there were some beautiful shots to be had. We then went downstairs to the registrars and Victoria & James were married at around midday! The great thing about Rothley Court Hotel is they have a chapel on site, which a lot of couples like to use for a blessing after there marriage and it’s exactly what Victoria & James did. Later on we went out side and grabbed the opportunity for some great photos whilst the sun was still on our side. The Speeches were strait after this and how great they were, especially the best man’s! The wedding party then went to eat and I took the opportunity to put together a small photography slideshow to show the guests. Finally we grabbed some beautiful sunset shot’s around the back of Rothley Court, they do have some wonderful grounds there! Anyway, a wedding thoroughly enjoyed… here’s a sneak peak!
